After two years online, the question that I'm asked most is "Who are Sadie and Mitzi?" Mitzi is my grandma and Sadie is my grandma's sister. Mitzi worked as a clothing designer during the forties and Sadie specialized in fine needle work. I have memories of visiting Mitzi during the summers in New Jersey. We would sew, draw, make ruggelach and sometimes go into New York. I would say that Mitzi was responsible for a great deal of my "cultural" education. She taught me how to see.
